As early as the age of seven, Katia Krivokochenko was admitted at the Specialised Central School of Tchaïkovsky Conservatoire where she pursued a thorough and complete musical training. She obtained numerous diplomas (piano, chamber music, analyse and writing...) and was proclaimed the prize-winner of the International Competition of Ettlingen.
At the age of seventeen, she decided to come to Western Europe in order to perfect her talent. Admitted at the Mozarteum of Salzbourg, she was promptly given a scholarship by the French Government.
In Paris she was the pupil of Muza Rubackyté and then obtained her admission to the Superior Conservatoire of Paris. There she studied with Pierre Réach. Simultaneously, she perfected herself under the direction of Karl-Heinz Kämmerling and Sergio Perticaroli. After becoming the First Prize-winner of the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris in 1999, she pursued her piano studies at the Département Soliste at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris. This is where she met her future professor, Pascal Nemirovski.
Beside her numerous and various recitals and concerts in chamber music, she is regularly invited to perform in European Festivals (Rencontres Internationales Frédéric Chopin de Nohant, Festivale Musicale delle Nazioni di Roma, Stagione Internazionale Montegrotto Abano, Théâtre de Carcassonne, Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, Mirabell Schloss of Salzburg....) and was honoured by being invited three years in a row by the Académie des Beaux-Arts at the Fondation Laurent-Vibert.
She has won numerous prizes in International Competitions, such as: "Young Pianists" at Ettlingen (Germany), the F.L.A.M.E. Competition (France) and the Second Grand Prix and the Special Prize of the Jury in the International Piano Competition Maria Canals of Barcelona in 2001.
